How To Prep for Holiday Stress
The holidays are great, but if you work as a first responder or other helping professional, they come with a special side of . . . special. In this 25-minute training I will help you plan for what I consistently see as one of the most stressful parts of the season. Clear information, practical instruction, no bullshit, no excuses.

When you come home from a shift, do you feel snappy? Irritated? Tense?
You want to connect with your family, but feel like you can't settle down and relax. You don't want to bring the tension of work back home with you, but you can't seem to shake it.
You aren't alone. Transitioning from work to home is a common source of tension for guardians. In this free 30-minute training we will discuss four ways to reset before walking in the door.

As fire season draws to a close, transitioning to the off-season can be . . . tricky. Without the proper slowdown process, you can find yourself antsy, bored, overwhelmed, or in conflict with those you love.
In this training we will talk through some specific ways to ease your central nervous system from PL5 into rest.
The training is designed specifically for the needs of wildland firefighters, but if you work a job that has a similar transition from chaos to calm, the information will still be helpful.
And if you love someone who works wildland, this is absolutely valuable for you as well.

When you serve as a guardian, it can be challenging to know how much to share when you get home. You don’t want to traumatize your significant other, but it would also be nice if you can describe your day. This training breaks down specific steps for how to share - in a way that you can tailor to your specific relationship and needs.

If you find yourself increasingly frustrated with the people around you, it’s time to have a little chat about burnout. In this training we will review the symptoms of burnout and some steps you can take to avoid it.
Duration: 27 minutes
It happens to the best of us. Our list of responsibilities grows. Our budgets and schedules get tight. And the fun just fades away.
Don't worry, if I just described you, you aren't alone. But we do need to do something about it, because having fun is core to good mental health. In this training, we walk through some key questions to help you re-discover what "fun" looks like in this phase of your life.
