Compassion Fatigue
Compassion fatigue is the decreasing ability to empathize with and respond to others' suffering. Over time, the emotional strain of constant support can lead to exhaustion, emotional detachment, and numbness. In fact, Shannon’s own compassion fatigue and struggle to find support is one of the reasons Stack of Stones was started in the first place. This brief training will help you understand more about what CF is and how it might be impacting you.

Moral injury is the emotional pain stemming from actions that conflict with personal values or beliefs, which can happen frequently in guardian roles. Moral injury can be vague and sneaky, so you might not even notice the impact it is having on your mental health.
